Town at the end of the world

This miniature town was created by the artist Lionel Feininger - an artist involved in the Bauhaus movement.The small wooden sculpture is of the town of Weimar,within the town was a church,of Gothic architecture which features in Feiningers town and also in many of his prints and drawings.
I like this piece very much,there is something that is imploringly peculiar about it.
